Small Business Server 2003 – Setting up and joining PCs

Small Business Server 2003 includes many features that making simple active directory tasks quicker. One of the most useful is client setup or joining a computer to the SBS network. Much like with regular active directory, this includes joining to the domain. But in SBS there is a simple wizard that will allow users to simply connect their computers. This wizard does the following things:

  • Renames the computer to the correct name re-defined in SBS
  • Install client service packs
  • Install the assigned software
  • Configures Microsoft Outlook
  • Migrates user profile information.

In the video I will show you how to migrate an existing user profile on a client machine onto the new domain account.
